Lucia Reynolds – Board Chair

President and owner of Amerisal Financial Inc. Lucia has twenty-one-years of experience as a Money Manager and Financial Adviser, holding licenses such as: Series 7, 63, 65, Enrolled IRS tax and insurance license. She has ten years of experience as an IRS corporate auditor and seven-year experience as credit and business manager. Graduated from The Oregon Tech with an accounting and Industrial Management degree in 1985.

Present and former board of directors for Portlandia Women, Immigration Counseling, Abilities at Work, Oregon Tech, Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Cultura Latina.

I believe in supporting the community is the role we must take to help others reach the next level. Supporting women and their children is the key to helping the family and the next generation.

Lorena Connelly – Co Chair

Lorena has been a social worker for the past 25-year graduated from the School of Social Work, Alcohol and Drug Counseling Program. She is certified as an HIV train the trainers, Community and Family Mediator, National and International trainer; Lorena has worked with survivors of domestic and sexual violence for over 30 years. She presently works as program hostess and producer for local TV programs in Oregon such as: En Familia and Voces de la Comunidad.

Rosa Tofte – Secretary

Rosa arrived in the United States in 1994 to study her law career at Northwestern School of Law of Lewis & Clark leaving her successful career as la lawyer in Lima, Peru.

Prior to joining Xerox, Rosa worked as a Senior Procurement Specialist at the State of Oregon, managing highly complex software licensing contracts on behalf of the State of Oregon. She also worked for over 7 years in IBM and Mentor Graphics Corporation as Contracts and Negotiations Specialist.

Rosa started her career at Xerox Corporation in 2004 as a Contracts Specialist, managing worldwide complex software license agreements for key software suppliers, joint ventures and negotiating multi-million dollar contracts with OEM suppliers. Later in 2009 Rosa worked as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt acting as the lead project manager to maximize the use of strategic data resulting in extensive cost reductions and process improvements in areas related to supply chain, manufacturing, data management and contract improvement processes in the United States, Europe and Asia. In her current role as a Contracts Manager for State and Local Entities for Large Enterprise Organizations, Rosa is now the lead negotiator of contracts for state and local entities in 26 states of the United States. She manages highly complex domestic cooperative agreements, supports the sales organizations reviewing bids and in their contract needs.

Javier Espinoza – Treasurer

Originally born in Peru and has lived in Portland since 2000.  Javier has a bachelor’s degree in Economics and has worked as Financial Analyst for over 20 years.  Javier volunteers as a board member at Los Ninos Cuentan because he likes to be part of a great team who has a very noble mission of helping families in distress.

Elvira Nanbu – Board Member

Born in Mexico City, and emigrated to USA as a teenager. She graduated from HRVHS and went to OSU Studied Foods and Nutrition. She worked for Oregon Extension Service as a Community Agent Assistant for 4 years, teaching cooking and nutrition classes.
Elvira holds a master in Education from Portland State University. Currently she works as a Family Assessor for the Reynolds School District and teaches cooking classes in a variety of community settings. She gives extensive volunteer hours at schools and community agencies. She is married and has two sons.
